Casey E. Herrforth, MD
Casey Herrforth joined HEPA from Colorado where she has worked as a Board Certified Emergency Medical Physician in rural and urban communities. Casey received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St Louis and her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine (Go Badgers!!!). She has been ABEM Board Certified since 2014.
Casey’s Emergency Medicine residency at USCF-Fresno in California provided her with a great depth and breadth of experiences, including the opportunity to work internationally in Vietnam and Nepal. Casey came to Hawaii with her supportive husband, Jack, who she met during her involvement with USCF Wilderness Medicine and the Parkmedic program.
Casey and Jack moved from Estes Park, Colorado, where they enjoyed the vast wilderness and stunning views of Rocky Mountain National Park. Although they miss the elk and the snow, they enjoy living in Volcano and to be a part of the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park family. They are very appreciative of the opportunity to serve the community of the Big Island and are delighted to call Hawai’i home.
